Here is a fantastic website to help children with maths skills.
Please visit and encourage your child to play the games. The games work on laptops and I pads.
Homework will consist of weekly spellings, multiplication facts and reading. Any additional work that is sent home will be tailored to the individual needs of your child.
PE kits need to be in school everyday and we will send it home when it needs washing. Children will have PE on a Wednesday and Thursday. This term we will focus on multi skills and dance.
We always encourage the children drink throughout the day, please can you make sure your child has a named water bottle in school.
Children are able to change their reading book everyday within school time.
Instead of Show and Tell this term, I have asked the children to research either Guy Fawkes or Grace Darling. I would like them to create a poster to show all that they have discovered about them. These will be displayed in our homework area for everyone to admire in the classroom.
If you wish to email any electronic posters, please send them to Mrs Thompson at Clare.firstname.lastname@example.org
Reading in unusual places activity
To inspire enjoyment for reading, we are encouraging children to send in a photograph of them reading in unusual places. This will then be displayed in our reading area within the classroom and a competition will be held to see which is the first class to have a photograph from each child. Please send your photographs to email@example.com
We look forward to seeing them.
