Term 2 Autumn 2013

Y6 sharing the personalised books they made over half-term, with their reading buddy. Stories featured the Reception child as the main character, included their favourite things, family and friends and were varied in design: lift-the-flap, fabric to feel, bookmarks, pop-up's and moving parts. Enjoy your stories, Reception!

Second World War Museum

Years 5 and 6 would like to thank everyone who visited their Second World War Museum.  We are very grateful to those who donated objects and our 3 speakers: Miriam, John and Nancy, who shared stories that you won't find in the history books!  After the museum tours had ended, we enjoyed a VE Day Celebration, sharing food made from rationed ingredients.

Year 6 at Welton Woods

Year 6 wanted to explore what they believe to be air-raid shelters in Welton Woods so we put on wellies and spent a morning investigating the area.  Many questions were raised that we hope to find answers to, some wildlife befriended and a souvenir bike and gate was carried back to school!
