2013/2014 Term 3
A Visit From An Author
All the children and staff enjoyed a visit from author, Eamonn Reilly today (Monday 13th January), who entertained us with stories and gave advice on how to write an engaging story. Should your child wish to order any of Eamonn's books, a completed order form should be returned to the school office within the next two weeks. You can check out Eammon reading his story of Rashnu on his website http://www.er-reilly.co.uk
Year 4 Investigating
Y1 and Y2
'Once Upon A Time'
Hansel and Gretel
Reception experienced first hand what it would be like to be Hansel and Gretel when we had our Literacy lesson outside. We began reading the story in the pavillion and then walked towards the woods, dropping breadcrumbs as we went. We continued the story in the woods and then losing our way, came across a witch's cottage where we continued the story.
Year 3/4 Pyramid Day
Pianists visiting the church organ with Mr Manser
Children were able to share some of the work they have completed during Term 3. The topic was 'Going for Goals' and the children had clearly thought about what goals they wanted to set themselves now and for the future. It was a great assembly attended by family and friends and included lots of singing, photos and talks.
