The children have requested they write stories. This can have any theme. If you would like some ideas, this could be fairy stories or the legend of the Lincoln Imp.

In your writing, look at the four different types of sentences and sentence openers to make your story more interesting. 

Openers might be: Suddenly, At the end of the day, Under the tree

Sentences: Question, Exclamation, Command and Statement.

Spelling Rules 

Children can revise the following spelling rules:

Using contractions such as didn't, shouldn't couldn't 

Adding ed and ing to verbs such as walk, walked, walking 

Adding es to plurals such as churches, brushes
