Setting Up Google Classroom

Adding assignments to Google Classroom

We have added the weekly overview of the remote learning to this page as well as to Google Classroom. We have added the whole week of learning so you have flexibility of when it is completed as we know many of you are juggling work and supporting your child. When children have been supported with setting up the lessons, they should be able to access them fairly independently. Any misconceptions or wrong answers will be supported by us when their work is submitted. All resources for the week will be uploaded to Google Classroom.  If your child is accessing the emergency provision for key workers and is in school for part of the week, it is important that they complete the work on the specific day that they are not in school.  The timetable shows the lessons that are being facilitated in school.  This is to ensure that your child is not asked to do work that they have already completed at home.

Here are some useful guides which will help you.

Common Exception Words

Here are the Year 1 and Year 2 common exception words.

Children need to be able to read and spell these words.

Ideas for activities:

Can you write a sentence including one of these words?

Can you spot this word in your reading book?

I have written a sentence but one of the words is spelled incorrectly. Can you spot it? How should I have spelled it?

Can you think of a rhyme to help you spell a tricky word?
