UPDATED FOR SEPTEMBER 2021

Please visit the Year 6 Class Page for the latest information regarding Term 2. Only use this page if you are isolating due to Covid-19

ONLY COMPLETE WORK IF YOU ARE WELL ENOUGH

Below you will find the information on Remote Learning.

Remote Learning this term will be assigned and submitted to the Year 6 Google Classroom. Your child will have been given a Google Classroom login at the start of this year. The work will be added to the classroom once it has been requested by parents. It is important that children only complete learning activities if they are well enough to do so.

Below is a suggested outline of learning time for Remote Learning. Families will need to tailor this to suit the circumstances of the household in terms of time and resources.

A realistic expectation of a minimum of 3-4 hours learning a day is suggested.

Click here for the suggested Year 6 Weekly Timetable if you want to mirror what we are doing in school.

The Year 6 class web-page will also have resources, knowledge organisers and home learning activities that can help during this time, including our weekly spellings and reading lists.

English:

Please Complete this unit of work if you are self-isolating at home due to Covid-19. (The Google Classroom has all of the resources and videos)

Maths:     Click here for this week's overview (15/11)

A weekly overview for maths will be added here whenever a child goes into isolation. This will outline what we are doing that week and include links to teaching videos and worksheet - please note that the worksheets will only be available on the Google Classroom.

In school, we will be doing Session 1 on Monday, Session 2 on Tuesday, Session 3 of Wednesday etc. It is suggested you do the same but feel free to work around your own families working circumstances.

Just like in our maths lessons in school, there is a flashback starter, a video to teach you, then a choice of fluency and/or problem solving for that day.  You do not need to complete every question but should aim to do maths for around 60 mins a day.

Please submit your work to the Google Classroom.

PLEASE ACCESS SUMDOG FOR EXTRA MATHS CONSOLIDATION. MR PARKIN WILL REGULARLY ADD NEW CHALLENGES AND QUIZZES TO TIE IN WITH WHAT WE HAVE BEEN DOING.
